The Promise is a simple way to help young people and adults celebrate their shared Scout values. Every Scout promises to stick by these values when they become a member.
There are four versions of the Promise appropriate to different age groups. There is a Promise for: Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network and adults. Scouts is open to people of all faiths and of none.
We have different variations of our Promise, so everyone can make a Promise that means something to them, no matter their background or belief.
The Scout Law and our values help young people and adult members remember and show their Scout Promise throughout their lives.
